Jeanette Merjane

Jeanette is a Legal Transformation Analyst and Accredited Specialist in Family Law.

Drawing on her years of experience as a family law practitioner, Jeanette now focuses on modernising legal service delivery through AI enabled solutions, digital tools and firm-wide process transformation.

Jeanette's specialist accreditation and experience as a family lawyer gives her a deep understanding of the realities of legal work. She uses these insights to design solutions that are practical, human centred and transformative for both lawyers and clients.

Experience

Jeanette joined Lander & Rogers as a graduate in 2019 and attained her specialist accreditation in family law in 2025.

In her current role, she works exclusively in legal transformation and innovation, with a focus on AI enabled and process improvement initiatives she manages for both the Family & Relationship Law team and the firm’s iHub. Her work includes:

• analysing and redesigning family law and firmwide workflows
• engaging with legal technology vendors to ensure the firm implements the most advanced technology solutions for its people and clients
• developing and implementing digital, automated and AI enabled solutions
• supporting pilots, user testing, change management and adoption
• collaborating with technologists, lawyers and business teams to deliver scalable improvements
• contributing to firmwide AI, data and process optimisation projects

Jeanette’s career highlights include:

• presenting at SXSW Sydney in 2024 on the future of legal AI and innovation, showcasing Lander & Rogers' leadership in emerging technology
• winning the 2025 Lander & Rogers Innovation Award for her work in designing and implementing AI powered workflow solutions
• leading innovation initiatives within the Family & Relationship Law team, including digital intake tools, automation solutions and improved legal service workflows
• contributing to cross functional iHub projects focused on AI adoption, data driven decision making and scalable transformation across the firm
